Eastern Cuba
The main towns of Eastern Cuba are Santiago de Cuba and Guantanamo, and the provinces of Guantanamo, Holguin and Granma. The Eastern tip also boasts three natural habours and the Sierra Maestra.
Rich in culture, with strong French Haitian influences, the Eastern Cuba is the birthplace of salsa and the rumba. Attractions include Pico Turquino (Cuba's highest peak) and the Gran Piedra, which is the largest stone block in the Caribbean.
